 A Las Vegas, le meilleur ami de Fabrice Soulier est un ancien sportif français de très haut niveau, Stéphane Matheu. Cet ancien tennisman pro a coaché la plupart des tennismen de Vegas, mais aussi des joueurs de poker en quête d'activité sportives, de David Benyamine à Gus Hansen. C'est ainsi que Fabrice a rencontré Stéphane, tous deux originaires d'Avignon. Lors des moments de pauses, afin de relâcher la pression des tournois, éreintants tout autant physiquement que mentalement, les deux amis pratiquent squash, tennis ou journée piscine, comme chez John, architecte contemporain d'origine italienne, qui possède une grande demeure à quelques minutes de Vegas. Sa propriété, construite par ses propres mains, rappelle les batisses de Frank Lloyd Wright, une des ses grandes inspirations. Au milieu des énormes résidences de millionaires fades et sans saveur, le dédale de couloir, les matières brutes et la chaleur de sa villa font presque figure de curiosa. Pendant une apres-midi, Fabrice oublie l'enfermement de l'Amazon Room et reprend quelques forces. Aujourdhui, un nouveau tournoi, le Pot Limit Omaha... In Las Vegas, Fabrice Soulier's best friend is a former top-notch tennisman called Stephane Matheu. This pro has coached most of the Vegas-based tennismen (Las Vegas is the home of André Agassi), as well as poker players who want to chill out via sport activities, like David Benyamine or Gus Hansen. That's how Fabrice met Stéphane, and the two Avignon-born guys became friends. When not playing, Fabrice meets Stephane, to chill out and forget the physical and mental intensity of the poker tournaments : they play squash, tennis or spend the day at the pool. Yesterday, they were at John's house, a contemporary architect, from Italy, who lives in the suburbs of Vegas. His gigantic house, which he built himself, reminds of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, one of his favorites architects. His residency is a curiosa, in the middle of the standardized millionaire villas of the neighbourhood.
